(about 4 servings)
Ingredients:
1 pound of Ground
Meat
1/4 cup Chopped
Onion
1/4 cup Chopped Green Pepper, optional
3 1/2 teaspoon Garlic
Powder
1/4 teaspoon Onion
Salt
1 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Basil
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 small can (6 oz.) of Tomato PASTE + 1 can water
1 Tablespoon Butter OR Margarine
1 large can (29 oz.) Crushed Tomatoes in Puree + 1/2 can
water
4 cups cooked Penne OR cooked Macaroni
Directions:
Brown Ground Meat, Chopped Onion, and Chopped
Green Pepper (optional) in skillet.
Sprinkle with 3 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 1/4
teaspoon Onion Salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon Oregano, 1 teaspoon Basil, and 1/4 teaspoon
sugar, stir well.
Add the small can (6 oz.) of Tomato PASTE + 1
can water and stir well.
Add 1 Tablespoon Butter OR Margarine and stir
well.
Then add 1 large can Crushed Tomatoes in Puree
+ 1/2 can water and stir well.
Simmer the above for about 3-4 hours, stirring
occasionally.
Mixture will be thick like Spaghetti Sauce, but if mixture becomes too thick,
add water as needed.
About 1/2 an hour before ready to serve,
cook Penne OR Macaroni in water, with 1 Tablespoon Oil added to the water,
until done (Cook by directions of Al Dente + 1 minute).
Drain Penne OR Macaroni when done.
Add enough Penne OR Macaroni to Meat Sauce to desired consistency,
(Do NOT put too much Penne OR Macaroni in the Meat Sauce)
Stir well and serve with Garlic Toast.
